On a well?
We do well work.
Out here a lot of houses run off a well instead of city water, and a well is its own kind of job. Pump, pressure tank, switch, wiring and the line running back to the house — it all has to work together, and when one part goes the whole house loses water.
We work on the lot of it, submersible pumps included — and we pull them ourselves. That means no waiting on somebody else to come out with a rig before your water comes back on.
If you have lost water, or the pump is running and running, or the pressure drops off in the shower, call and tell us what it's doing. Most of the time we can narrow it down on the phone before we set off.
Call about your well- Submersible pump replacement The most common well job there is, and the one people ring us about most. We pull the old pump and set the new one ourselves.
- Pressure tanks & switches A waterlogged tank or a worn switch is what makes a pump cut on and off over and over.
- No water at all Pump not coming on, breaker tripping, or nothing at the tap. We work out which it is.
- Pressure gone weak Fine at the kitchen sink, useless in the shower. Usually the tank, the switch or the pump.
- The line from the well to the house Leaks and breaks in the buried line between the wellhead and the building.
- New hookups Setting a well system up on new construction, an addition or a replacement building.

- Kill power to the area if water is anywhere near outlets, the panel, or a water heater.
- Open a low faucet to drain the pressure out of the pipes.

Hall's Plumbing has been a licensed Virginia LLC since August 2013, but the trade in this family goes back a lot further than the paperwork does. It is a small, locally owned shop in Danville — which means Jerry has to see you at the grocery store afterward.
That is the whole business model: honest pricing, tidy work, and picking up when it's late and something has gone badly wrong.

Straight answers
Are you really open at 2 in the morning?
Yes. Plumbing does not keep business hours and neither do we. Call the same number any hour, any day — including weekends and holidays.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. Estimates are free. Tell us what is happening and we will tell you what it is likely to take before any work starts.
Are you licensed and insured?
Licensed, bonded and insured, and a registered Virginia LLC. Ask to see any of it and we will show you.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Yes — shops, offices, rentals and restaurants as well as houses. Same number.
My house is on a well — can you work on it?
Yes. Submersible pumps, pressure tanks, pressure switches and the line running from the well to the house — and we pull the pump ourselves rather than waiting on anybody else. If you have lost water or the pressure has dropped off, call and tell us what it is doing. We can usually narrow it down before we set off.
Will you come into North Carolina?
We do, regularly. Caswell and Rockingham counties are a short run from Danville. Call and ask about your address.
What should I do before you get here?
Shut the water off at the main valve, kill the power if water is near anything electrical, and open a low faucet to drain the pressure. Then call.
